17,000 outpatient appointments and 30,000 emergency care attendances to be facilitated New facility is next step towards new children’s hospital Pictured at the official opening of new Outpatient and Emergency Care Unit at Children’s Health Ireland Tallaght. The new 4,600m² three-storey CHI centre, located adjacent to the main entrance to the Tallaght University Hospital were Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly TD, Eilish Hardiman CEO of Children’s Health Ireland and Aoife Sweeney age 5.

https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/642684153 World Class Facilities for Children, Families and Children’s Health Ireland Staff in place to allow familiarisation and training The National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) and Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) have unveiled the new children’s hospital demonstration space adjacent to the new hospital site in Dublin 8. The demonstration space houses an inpatient room, an emergency department patient assessment room, and an outpatient area giving a very real sense of the world-class child and family centric facilities and services that will be available to children and their families when the hospital is completed and operational.

Liberties businesses welcome the decision to approve planning permission for a new national children’s hospital at St James’s

Liberties businesses have welcomed the decision of An Bord Pleanála to grant permission for the new National Children’s Hospital at St James’s Hospital in Dublin 8. The announcement was made this morning (28th April) and welcomed by Catherine Heaney, Chair of the Liberties Business Forum. “The development of the National Children’s Hospital at St James’s is a project of huge importance to Dublin 8 and its community.
